Sacramento Sends Delegates To The Green National Convention
July 10, 2020
The Green Party of the United States will soon name its Presidential Nominee!
The GPUS holds its Presidential nomination this weekend. The Green Party National Convention is set to be a virtual meeting due to Covid-19. The public is invited to watch live feeds from this weekend's events (information posted at the end of this post).
Green Party of Sacramento County is proud to have two dedicated county Greens who will be serving as National Delegates to the Convention: Ashley Frame and Nicole Castor.
California is the largest delegation in the country, with forty-three delegates having been certified! We are honored that our own county will be represented at this national meeting.
Ashley Frame
Ashley is a member of the Sacramento Green Party. She is a former Co-Chair to the Young Ecosocialists National Caucus (GPUS), and is currently working as the assistant to Green VP candidate Angela Walker.
“This year, it has never been more important to vote our values and make the changes we need in this country. I am excited and honored to be a delegate this election cycle, and to contribute to the change.”
Nicole Castor
Nicole is just starting her second term of the County Council of the county party after being re-elected in this last primary. She has been serving as Co-Coordinator since 2016, is a delegate to the state party, GPCA, and serves as Legislative Advocate on behalf of the county party.
“I am honored to serve as National Delegate and am appreciative to the hard work of the volunteers who are making this National Convention possible. I look forward to the moment we are able to announce our nominee!”
This Saturday, you can be a part of history in the making as the Green Party selects its 2020 Presidential and Vice Presidential candidates!
